Arne Vodder Lounge Chair & Ottoman FD 164

Beautiful scandinavian design classic in the form of a lounge chair with ottoman.
The chair is adjustable in 3 positions, which, together with the ergonomic design, guarantees for many relaxing hours.
Timeless and crafted with elegant, qualitative precision, there is of course a well-known name behind this designclassic.
In this case it is Arne Vodder, one of the "great" danish architects and designers.
He designed this armchair in the high-back version called FD 164 in 1962 for the danish furniture manufacturer France & Son, which had recently been trading as France & Daverkosen (FD). France & Son itself was taken over by the danish Designer and manufacturer Poul Cadovius in the mid-1960s, so that it was renamed Cado. For this reason, there are certain furniture models from this company pool, which, depending on the time of production, sometimes have a signature from France & Daverkosen, France & Son as well as Cado,...as well as combined versions in times of transition, as in this case.
The solid teak frame is still marked with the gold intaglio of France & Son, but the manufacturer's plaque already has Cado.

The armchair comes from first hand and was once ordered in the most extensive and best available version in cognac-colored leather including a footstool/ottoman. A good decision then and now.
Over the years it has maintained a wonderful patina and has always been loved and cared for.
With this in mind, we have prepared it carefully.
The leather of the cushions has been deeply cleaned and nourished with qualitative leather care products and preserved while maintaining a beautiful natural patina. The loose cushions with a very pleasant feel are also reversible and can be used from both sides. The leather cover of the ottoman is also cleaned and greased, but shows slightly more signs of wear due to use and a stronger patina in places, but of course it is still fully usable and intact.
We professionally completely renewed the strapping on the armchair and ottoman,
so that you can enjoy this classic for many decades to come.
The teak was deeply cleaned and re-nourished and preserved with teak oil in several passes.

There are 3 levels of sitting/lying position, which are easily adjusted using locking points in the teak frame.
