Art Nouveau Jugendstil lamp Bausch & Lomb

- sold -

Simply elegant Art Nouveau desk/table lamp.
Restrained design language influenced by Geometric Art Nouveau with a rare shade design.
Attributed Bausch & Lomb. Signed B&L in the cast base.
The lamp is made of solid brass, can be adjusted several times and can therefore be used universally.
Dates from the first quarter of the 20th century (~ between 1900-1925).
In addition to the elegant base with the interesting rocker switch, the lamp impresses with its shade with diamond-shaped struts. A light green-grey fabric shade is mounted inside, which ensures glare-free light.
The bulbholder with the size E27 still has a porcelain ring.
Height in normal position about 36 cm. Shade diameter 16 cm.
The lamp has been carefully restored. It has been completely disassembled, cleaned, polished and preserved with wax while preserving the patina.

Please note:
If you want to use the light for its actual function, you would have to have it checked by a certified specialist. The built-in components such as socket and rocker switch are just as old (~ 100 years) and sometimes no longer meet current standards and are of course still part of the light in the sense of a collector's item. The rocker switch is special.
If the lamp is only to be used as a display object without any function, the current standard condition of these components is of course not important. Please ask us before.
