Simply elegant Bauhaus fruit bowl based on a design by Luise Harkort for Velten Vordamm (1914-1931).
Cylindrical circles, alternately graded in blue and brownish natural coloring.
The bowl rests on 3 feet.
Marked with the Velten Vordamm signet and LH for Luise Harkort.
Diameter 34.5 cm
Height 12.5cm
Very nice condition, no cracks, chips, breaks or the like.

Velten Vordamm has been working in close cooperation with the ceramic workshops of the Bauhaus since the early 1920s. Well-known designers and artists worked for Vordamm. Luise Harkott, Otto Lindig, Emanuel Josef Margold, Bruno Paul, Theodor Bogler, Hedwig Bollhagen, etc.
In 1931 there was bankruptcy.
