Fase Impala futuristic stainless steel Lamp
Futuristic Fase Stainless Steel Table Lamp – Model Impala (1973)
"Houston... we see there a light in the distance..." — that is exactly what one might have said back then upon seeing this magnificent lamp.
As if it came from another galaxy... this very rare desk lamp by Fase beautifully reflects the spirit of the Space Age.
Elegant... timeless... perfectly formed... simply beautiful.
This Spanish lighting classic from 1973 looks as though it were sculpted from a solid block of stainless steel.

The Impala model was produced in various versions and finishes. Some models featured an analog clock built in where the light switch would normally be and were operated via a pull-cord switch; others—like this one—have a switch on the front of the curved base that is as practical as it is technical in appearance.
The lamp was assembled and welded from several elegantly shaped stainless steel segments, followed by a fine-finishing process involving surface brushing. Because the material is stainless steel (V2A), the lamp requires no paint or lacquer finish. The shade houses a standard E27 socket, currently fitted with a candle-style bulb. The satin-finished glass panel can be easily unscrewed.
Its unique design led to this model appearing in various films and TV series from that era and beyond.
