Jugendstil Art Nouveau Clock
JUNGHANS ART NOUVEAU TABLE CLOCK
Floral elegance in the design of a wonderful early Art Nouveau table clock.
Junghans around 1890-1900. Rustred marble in combination with bronzed brass fittings.
The connection to nature is represented by the floral elements such as poppy buds and the two beautiful ladies who hold a crown made of ears of wheat and sunflowers over the Time/Clock.
Divided into a front and back level, this clock is airy/open and visually light.
The movement is a robust Junghans movement with key winding and is fully functional.
The dial with Roman numerals and the hands are made of brass.
Very nice, carefully restored, cleaned and preserved condition while retaining the venerable patina.
The clockwork runs with a classic soothing tick tack, so it can be set up straight away.
The original key is of course part of the offer.
