Kaiser Leuchten Space Age Pendant lamp

Kaiser Leuchten - Space Age ceiling light

Wonderful pendant light in a futuristic design from the 1960s/70s by Kaiser Leuchten Neheim.
Model 413 5/2 based on a design by Klaus Hempel.
This is the large version of this type of lamp, which compared to the equally beautiful,
but the more common small version of this type is actually much rarer. The small version looks like a ball, where the shades have the same size.
The lamp consists of 3 shades.
An upper and lower shade made of radially brushed aluminum, as well as an inner shade made of cream-white aluminum.
The lamp follows the technology and design of glare-free light. At least as long as you use a head-mirrored light bulb.
This main bulb sits in the lower shade and emits its light over the white inner shade.
In order to illuminate the room above the lamp, this design classic has two recessed sockets in the upper shade, optically hidden. If desired, these can be installed with 2 candle bulbs, refrigerator bulbs, etc. so that they are visually invisible when viewed from the side.
When designing the lamp, Klaus Hempel took up techniques from Franta Anyz (Czech Republic) and Wilhelm Gispen (Netherlands), who had already used the idea and shape of this futuristic lamp in designs for the new objectivity in the 1930s.
In addition to the grandiose design, the Kaiser lamp also impresses with its coloring...pure brushed silvery aluminum, which reflects the era of space discovery better than any colorful paint.
Space Age as it best.
The lamp was extensively restored without taking away the dignity of the original.
The brushing of the upper/+lower shade is in perfect condition.
