Minerva teak coffee table with second level as a magazine shelf

Very beautiful and timelessly elegant Scandinavian design classic in the form of a rectangular teak coffee table.
The table with tapered edges and rounded corners has a useful and elegant second level below the actual solid wood top. This additional level made of a teak frame with an inner weave made of raffia appears to be floating thanks to the elegant brass fittings that hold it in position and gives the table a wonderful lightness. The tapered legs support this design.
This classic was designed by the well-known Danish duo Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen as model FD 516 for France & Son, Denmark in 1956. Labeled on the underside with a France & Son plaque.
