Piero Fornasetti Milano Lamp 1960s

- sold -

Beautiful table lamp by Fornasetti Milano.
Italian lighting classic in an early, original version with an enchanting patina.

  • Design and execution: Piero Fornasetti
  • Decor/Motiv: Palloni (Hot Air Balloons)
  • Age: 1960s, via mail confirmed by Barnaba Fornasetti
  • Table lamp with yellow cylindrical fabric shade and shade holder.
  • Sheet iron varnished and lithographed, sheet brass coated.
  • Signed on the underside with Fornasetti Milano
    Condition:
Good original condition with beautiful patina. You could easily disassemble the lamp, polish the brass to a high gloss again, replace the shade if necessary, rewire it and you would have a new Fornasetti.
We also deliberately left the wiring in this (unsafe) condition in order to preserve the age and charm of the original (for a Fornasetti collection, if there is one). The design of the switch alone, which again takes up the cylindrical shape of the lamp base, is consistent. The plug is just as old, but does not correspond to nowadays standards in terms of size and safety.
For use in the classic sense, the electrical system would have to be renewed.
(We do not give any guarantee on the current electrics!)
