A wonderful and rare set of four (or two pairs of two) lounge chairs by Preben Fabricius & Jørgen Kastholm for Bo-EX.

The angular, wide frame made of solid, matte-brushed steel—combined with loose leather cushions resting on a taut, upholstered linen support—delivers outstanding seating comfort that remains impressive to this day.
A model that rarely appears on the market compared to other design classics.
Making it all the more magnificent to find a set of four identical pieces.
This set comes from the original 1st owners (!); it was purchased new in 1966 by a married couple of doctors—and, as is evident, has been meticulously cared for ever since. The leather is original and features a beautiful, warm "coffee-bean" brown tone that shifts in appearance depending on the light source: sometimes resembling dark chocolate with a hint of rust-red, other times appearing slightly lighter, like dark milk chocolate.
The lovely patina acquired over the years creates a visual experience of exquisite taste.
Since not everyone has the space for 4 Lounge Chairs, we are also willing to split the set into two pairs (2x2).

Condition: Overall, all armchairs are in very well-maintained condition. A few years ago, the down filling in the seat cushions of all chairs was professionally replaced with slightly firmer foam to make it easier for the elderly previous owners to stand up. However, all original down cushions are still present and intact; they can be included upon request. The covers all feature zippers, making it easy to swap the filling back if desired.
We have disassembled all the armchairs, cleaned the leather with high-quality care products, and treated it with leather oil for protection.
Signs of wear consistent with age—such as scratches, creases, or minor scuffs—have been left as-is and do not constitute defects. One back cushion (from Set 1-2) sustained a small tear in the center at some point over the decades. This was repaired at the time using a supportive patch on the back; it is no longer a structural issue and, in our opinion, does not detract from the visual appearance. This minor imperfection has already been factored into the price.
All frames were disassembled, cleaned, and polished.
